What should I do if a tyre goes on the M62 or M1?
Get to safety first. Leave at the next junction, services or slip road if the car can still move. If it can’t, call for recovery, because nobody can fit tyres on a live hard shoulder. Once you’re somewhere safe, we’ll come to you.
Can you repair a puncture instead of replacing the tyre?
Often, yes. If the damage is in the main tread area and within BS AU 159 limits, we can usually repair it. Sidewall damage or a large hole means a replacement, and we’ll always explain which one you need and why.
How long does it take once the fitter arrives?
